Bless this food

When we say a prayer before eating and include a phrase about blessing the food to nourish and strengthen our bodies, what happens to the food is nothing short of a miracle.

High fructose corn syrup takes on the molecular properties of cane sugar, sugar takes on the properties of salt, salt takes on the properties of protein, protein takes on the properties of fiber, and fiber takes on the properties of even more fiber.

That's why we Mormons are way more healthy than other religions and non-believers.

Go Mormons!

Bishop, you haven't posted for so long. I was lost without your guidance. I may have strayed a little. I drank a coke. Please don't leave me leaderless again for so long!

Anonymous, as long as you blessed the Coke you should have been fine, right? Correct me if I'm wrong Bishop, but I'm pretty sure that blessed caffeine becomes extra discernment.

Bishop, as a new convert, yet ardent believer, I must tell you how much solace I find in your counsels. Now I have definite proof of the miracle or blessing the refreshments - doubters beware! The changing of high fructose corn syrup into fiber makes the whole water into wine thing pale in comparison. I look forward to further inspirations.

Duh! What else could nourish and strengthen mean? Don't forget the wonders it does for the hands who prepared it.

Does this mean if I bless my glass of wine it will become "new"?

Or should my husband do the blessing?

Either way, I'm game.
