Ask The Bishop

Question: In my high school, there is a kid that is my same age and he refers to girls as "gals". As in, "she's a neat gal". My question is, is it ok to hit this kid in the face?

Answer: In this case, yes. Yes it is.

How can you tell anyone that it is ok to hit someone else? What kind of preaching do you do?
It is never ok to hurt anyone, only when defending oneself or someone weaker should you be able to harm someone, and even then it should be so as to defend not to hurt your ennemy, only to restrain them. Not being religious myself I don't know the exact wording but didn't Jesus mentioned something about presenting the other cheek?

Furthermore, I firmly believe that if he does not turn the other cheek, you are required as a priesthood holder to turn it for him.

I want to know if you're married and if you have kids and what they think of your blog.

I want to be sure you tell us if you start another blog.

Do you know the person who blogs at Seriously So Blessed? Her identity is also closely guarded. Do you read her blog?

I've read your blog for years. Although I have gotten behind because I just found out you stopped. I even contributed something.

You are hilarious and I wish you would write a screenplay or a ward roadshow. I can't believe you haven't been commissioned to write for the theater that lampoons Utah. Suddenly I can't recall the name. You could also team up with Robert Kirby. Just don't waste your talent!

Thanks for the entertainment. We have to laugh or we may cry! You made us do both (laugh until we cried).

Thank you
Janet
