We're changing the name

As many of you know, our first counselor, Brother Ted Malloy is involved heavily in the marketing field and came up with a peach of an idea. He thought we should change the name "Fast Sunday" to "Poor People Day" in an effort to increase donations. He felt like it would help remind our ward of its purpose and I think he just might be right. Let's give it a go and see what happens.

This new name would totally make me pay more fast offerings.

Maybe we can change Fast and Testimony Meeting to "Super Uncomfortable Conversations that Have Nothing To Do With Jesus" Meeting.

What an inspired idea! I might be reminded to donate the cost of THREE extra-value meals instead of only two. Great work, Bishop!

In the spirit of name changes, how about changing the name of the Young Women's organization to the "No Touch 'Ems" in order to keep the Aaronic Priesthood (and others) in line? And are you going to change the donation slips so that they no longer read Fast Offerings? What will they read instead, "Alms for the Poor"?
